The AlpineBits Alliance is a group of 23 companies, associated with each other on a non-profit basis, operating mainly in the Alpine tourism sector. The Alliance collaborates in the development and promotion of Open Standards with the aim of innovating, opening up data exchange and optimising online presence, as well as sales and marketing efforts in the field of tourism. Each member contributes its own technical know-how and participates in the development of standards. The group benefits from widespread experience prevalently but not exclusively in the Alpine area and includes both national and international partners.

Technical contributors to the standard
Committers are experienced developers and technical professionals who contribute to the AlpineBits standard even if they are not formal Members of the Alliance.
This role has been designed to recognise and enable freelance experts, former implementers and long‑time contributors who wish to remain involved in the evolution and maintenance of AlpineBits regardless of their company affiliation.
What Committers Do
Assist companies and organisations in the implementation of the AlpineBits standard
Contribute to the technical development of the AlpineBits standard
Share best practices and support interoperability within the ecosystem
Support certification audits as independent reviewers if required
Act as technical ambassadors and help promote AlpineBits to new partners
Benefits and Recognition
Committers do not have voting rights within the Alliance, but their contributions are formally recognised.
To encourage outreach and community growth, AlpineBits offers a referral incentive for Committers who help bring new Members to the Alliance. Those who support the expansion of the community may receive a share of the new membership fee.
Committers also receive visibility on the AlpineBits website and in community activities that highlight their technical contributions.
Starting in 2026
The first official Call for Committers will open in early 2026.
A formal list of recognised Committers will be published during the year, including their areas of contribution.
